Il 2012 è stata una bomba, tutto quello che ne è seguito un pallido ricordo.
Lo stupore purtroppo non si rinnova, lo provi una volta. Poi temi che le volte successive possano apparire come un’ombra sbiadita.
Eppure…eppure ne abbiamo ancora voglia.
Proviamo a partire da qui: ciò che per noi è veramente importante è quello che riusciamo a fare con gli altri. O che vorremmo fare. Sono quelle le uniche azioni che generano segni indelebili, le conserviamo nella nostra memoria e qualificano le nostre esperienze.
Gran parte del resto passa, come sono passati questi dieci anni.
Quando noi sogniamo lo facciamo in grande, forse perché Mettiamoci Una Pezza ci ha abituato a questo. Oppure perché tra le tante chiacchiere il messaggio veicolato dalle “pezze” è davvero potente ed attuale.
Noi ci crediamo ancora, e ancora.
Questo progetto è dedicato alla rete che esiste dal 2012, che nascendo spontaneamente ha voluto condividere i princìpi di quell’azione riconoscendone il valore intrinseco di denuncia e di partecipazione dal basso. Cura, attenzione, conoscenza del territorio, tutela del paesaggio e del patrimonio artistico come bene comune ed eredità culturale.
Proprio per questo non è solo la nostra città oggi il soggetto del progetto, ma i vostri luoghi, i vostri territori, quartieri ed incompiute che deprimono il paesaggio.
Allora quest’anno proviamo ad allungare il passo e a venirci incontro.
Vi chiediamo non solo di partecipare ma di essere voi per primi gli autori di un tassello da unire, anche solo virtualmente, a noi.
Provate ad immaginare: tendere un filo che rimbalza da un territorio ad una città, da una zona all’altra del paese e che, grazie ad una video-istallazione si potrà vedere da L’Aquila il 6 aprile 2019 e attraverso la nostra pagina Facebook, e tutti gli altri canali, rimbalzerà di nodo in nodo.
E’ molto più semplice di quello che appare.
Basta che voi individuiate un luogo, la vostra zona rossa, facciate le pezze per evidenziarla, ed infine le filmiate con un video che condividerete con noi. In questo modo da qui non assembleremo solo le pezze ma anche le vostre azioni, trasformando così quella giornata in un Urban Knitting Day.

In 2012 the project was a success, but what followed was a pale memory.
That kind of amazement, unfortunately, cannot be renewed; you can try it once. Then you fear that when you will try again, it may look like a faded shadow.
And yet … we still want to do it.
Let’s try to start from here: what is really important for us is what we can do with others. Or what we would like to do. These are the only actions that generate indelible signs, we keep them in our memory and they qualify our experiences.
Much of the rest passes, as these ten years have passed.
When we dream, we do it big, maybe because “mettiamoci una pezza” made us used to this. Or because among the many chatters, the message conveyed by the “pezze” is really powerful and current.
We still believe in this project.
This project is dedicated to the network that got together spontaneusoly in 2012, with the aim of sharing the principles of that action recognizing the intrinsic value of reporting and participation from below.
Care, attention, knowledge of the territory, protection of the landscape and artistic heritage as a common value and cultural heritage.
Exactly for this reason, it is not only our city today the subject of the project, but your places, your territories, neighborhoods and unfinished works that make the landscape so sad.
Therefore, this year we try to reach out to you with our hands.
We ask you not only to participate but to be the authors of a piece to connect, even if only virtually, to us.
Try to imagine: to stretch a thread that rebounds from a territory to a city, from one area to another of the country and that, thanks to a video-installation will be seen from L’Aquila on 6 April 2019 and through our Facebook page, and all other channels, will bounce from knot to knot.
It is much simpler than it appears.
As long as you identify a place, your “red area”, make the pieces to highlight it, and finally you film them with a video that you will share with us. This way, from here we will not only assemble the pieces but also your actions, thus transforming that day into an Urban Knitting Day.
