Prendi il centro storico di una città.
Togli le persone che ci abitano, che entrano nei negozi, che frequentano gli uffici, che fanno la spesa alle bancarelle del mercato quotidiano, togli i negozi, gli uffici, le banche…
Togli, togli, togli e ottieni il vuoto.
Questa è L’Aquila.
Animammersa, che continua ad avere gli occhi e la mente bene aperti sulla realtà che la circonda, si è accorta che uno dei risultati di questa sottrazione ha come prodotto anche la monotonia cromatica: il grigio impera.
Niente vita, niente colore, ed in questo centro storico non c’è niente di più vero.

Da qui l’idea che dalla vita delle persone alla vita della città il passo è breve.
La proposta che vi lanciamo è Mettiamoci Una Pezza!
Un’azione di urban knitting da svolgersi nel centro storico di L’Aquila a partire dal 6 Aprile 2012, terzo anniversario del sisma.
Cento metri quadrati di superficie da ricoprire con pezze lavorate a maglia, con l’uncinetto, lasciando alla creatività di ciascuno la scelta dei colori, dei filati e dei punti da utilizzare.
La realizzazione di questo allestimento è aperta a tutti perché sentiamo urgente la necessità di condividere quel senso di cura, di attenzione e di protezione che sono caratteristica delle azioni di questo tipo e di cui ora Animammersa vuole rendere protagonista la sua città.
Un atto d’amore e di provocazione.
Vogliamo che attraverso la nostra proposta si mantenga viva la memoria ridando colore a quei tasselli che, ingrigiti, sono destinati a scomparire, anche se presenti come carcasse.
Il nostro sogno è quello di riunire in un unico gesto persone diverse, distanti ma unite da quell’entusiasmo che solo l’atto creativo riesce a dare.

Pick one of many historical downtowns
Remove its residents, those who go in the stores, who work in offices, who shop at the open daily market kiosks. Remove shops, offices, banks…..
Remove and keep taking off, eventually you’ll have nothing.
This is Aquila
“Animammersa” a town still with eyes and thoughts, opened on the daily surrounding reality. The town realized the grim outcome of this removal, which also has produced a monochromatic feel. Gray is everywhere.
The life is gone, the color is gone, and in this historic downtown, nothing is real any longer.
There is no much difference between the lives of its habitants and the life of the city.
Because of this, we would like to launch a campaign called “Lets Patch It!”.
The campaign is organized by Urban Knitting and it will be held downtown historic L’Aquila three years after the earthquake on its anniversary on April 6, 2012 .
There will be 100 square meters of surface to be covered with knitted or crochet patches. These will be done in such ways that participants have a chance to be creative with colors, materials and type of stitches
The development of this project display is open to everyone. We feel the immediate urge to share the care, attention and protection, which are a typical trademark of this movement and Animammersa who wants to place its city on the spotlight.
A love’s gesture and to provoke
Our proposal aims to keep alive the memory of the cityby giving back color to broken sections, even if now are colorless ruins which will inevitably disappear.
Our dream is to gather, all at once, different folks, who might leave far way but are unified by the passion that only creativity can bring together.
